Water birds
All the water fowl will be packing it in and heading south within the next month or so, so we went out Wednesday and shot a few (with the camera, of course).

A nice flock of Canada geese looking very picturesque

Some kind of little sandpiper or godwit with a couple of sleeping ducks

RE: Water birds
I've noticed the geese flying south here as well. I"m going to miss them and summer.

We've noticed a couple of flocks in flight pattern, but I think they're mainly just fattening up right now. I give them another two weeks or so before they start leaving.

RE: Water birds
We had a drought this summer. I don't expect them to hang around this year.
