Shortcut to Nowhere
http://www.otherwords.org/articles/shortcut_to_nowhere
It seemed that Joseph Holman, a 51-year-old redhead from Brooklyn, had climbed into the middle class the old-fashioned way: by the sweat of his brow. Two decades ago, Holman moved to California and settled down in Hayward, a working class city about 10 miles south of Oakland. He soon found work as a union laborer, earning $25 an hour plus benefits. Along the way, he married, had two sons, and purchased a spacious house in a quiet neighborhood — complete with flowers out front and a pool in the backyard.... |

RE: Shortcut to Nowhere
why didnt he start using part of his yard to grow cannabis? for 100 dollars you get a medical marijuana card which permits you to grow 5 plants, so for a 200 dollar investment he and his wife can grow 10 plants, 10 feminized seeds can be delivered for about 100 dollars. ten plants outdoors can easily get you 30 to 50 POUNDS of weed. trust me I have family in the bay area. that would be 30 to 50 thousand dollars wholesale, all you need is a buyer, which isnt hard to find in the bay area. the tv show 'weeds' first and second season was all about this

People who kept their habit and their ability to grow weed to themselves are probably faring better than people who went through the state of California's legalized process of being certified and obtaining a "card" to grow. The DOJ and the IRS are really combing through the state and local records of such people. And since the Federal Laws of the USA have no provisions for people growing under the state programs, the growers could be facing jail time and IRS penalties and fines. They may also be watching as the Feds and or local police departments repossess their homes, cars, and other acquisitions, which will all be assumed to have been bought with "illegal" drug monies. RE: Shortcut to Nowhere
what you say is valid, i think, for people who were official growers for the medical places. what i am suggesting is that they get medical cards for their own cannabis use, then grow their 5 plants each and sell the weed on the black market. any welfare or part time official work they get could be used to pay bills, the weed money would be used to buy all groceries, filling the gas tank, anything that can be paid in cash without leaving a paper trail,
but i am also very disappointed with obama having the dept of justice go after growers. |
