Now I'm really smiling! This is so fantastic! Twenty-two states! First ever Green to qualify for federal matching funds. I love it! Hey Bellator, Iowa ended up doing well enough to get on the map! I knew Iowans were good people. Just feast your eyes on this map:

Yes they are good people. No different than they are other places. I am disappointed they only raised $ 769.05. I guess it is a start. There is basically no organization here what-so-ever.

Begs a few questions from me. Can they only match up to $250.00 per person? The most an individual can give legally I believe is $2500.00.

Any additional campaign money collected after this fund drive will also be matched? Or is it only the money collected up until this point?

What if you didn't give any and decided in a month to give some. Will that also be matched?

As I understand it, the limit for matching is $250 per adult citizen per candidate. Everything collected before and after this drive will now be matched up to that limit. So people that have already given $250 will have that matched no matter where they live, but anything between $250 and $2500 won't get matched.

That leads me to a question. How can it possibly be constitutional to let corporations and unions give unlimited amounts, but limit people to giving $2500? Or is it a matter of whether you give to a candidate versus a PAC? If that's it, I hope someone sets up a PAC for Dr. Stein so that Green-minded companies and individuals that can give more than $2500 will be able to do so. Rosanne Barr will not get the nomination. Dr. Stein has it all tied up. I think that the right thing to do would be for her to set up a PAC and offer to match funds given to the PAC.

Nice idea, but I want transparency. As much as possible anyway.

I hope the whole process could give as much transparency as possible. I think that would be important. When the Greens start getting traction they will be pummeled with lies about who is contributing.

That is an important point, but I don't think the two are mutually exclusive. Just because no transparency is required of PACs, doesn't mean they can't be transparent of their own accord.
