Double your Green: Let's get Jill Stein federal matching funds!
Want a candidate that refuses to take in Wall Street or corporate cash?

Well, help her out!

Quote:Double your donation. It's simple. Donate right now and help Jill Stein double your greenbacks for the Green Party.

Every donation you make to Jill Stein for President, up to $250, can be matched dollar-for-dollar by public financing once we have qualified for federal matching funds. Donate now.

* To qualify for matching funds, we must raise at least $5,000 in each of 20 states.
* The first $250 donated by any individual (this should be you) counts toward the $5,000 goal.

This means that if you donate $250, $100, or $50 right now, your state will be that much closer to qualifying us for matching funds. And once 20 states have raised $5,000 in qualifying donations, every single one of those donations will be matched, dollar for dollar, for the rest of the campaign, in federal matching funds.

See below for a map showing how far along your state is toward qualifying for matching funds:

The sooner we qualify, the better. That's when we start doubling our green for the Green Party, which means that Dr. Stein can invest twice as much on getting the Greens on the ballot, building our state and local parties, and putting our Green New Deal agenda in the public eye.

As of Monday, February 20th, two states have qualified (CA, MA), one state is close (NY) and four states are halfway there (IL, MD, VA, WI).

Our goal is to qualify in our first 10 states by March 15th.

States that have qualified: California, Massachusetts

3/4 of the way there: New York

Halfway there: Illinois, Maryland, Virginia, Wisconsin

1/4 of the way there: D.C., Minnesota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Washington

Raised something: Every state.

Donations have come in from every state, so even if you're living in Oklahoma or Indiana or any other state, don't worry, you can get there soon! Just donate now: http://www.jillstein.org/donate

Most of the states that are currently in the lead are there because they have actively raised funds for the campaign. They've held house parties. They've sent out fundraising appeals. That's all it takes.

In the coming days, we'll email our lists with updates on how each state is doing, and ideas for how you can put your state over the top, and double your green for the Green Party.

Please take an immediate step by making a donation: http://www.jillstein.org/donate

$5k in 20 states sounds totally doable.

And the goal of this drive, qualifying in just 10 states in a month, is very doable considering 7 are already halfway there ($2500 each) or further.

I've donated, but I'm going to do so again to max out my $250 matched contribution. I hope you will as well, and spread the word!

Hi jest! Thanks for this info. Maybe you can enlighten me on the matter of the Green Party nominee. The Ohio primary is on March 4th and I am planning on declaring myself a Green for the first time. (That's how we do it in Ohio. Each time the primary comes around, a person can declare for whichever party they choose.) How can this request for donations, and other materials I have seen, talk about Dr. Stein as the nominee when it is my understanding there will be at least three candidates for president on the Green ballot? Is Ohio the only state where there are two or more Green candidates?

BTW, welcome to the club! I joined the Green Party in 2010, so I'm relatively new to this too.

Not every state has the same number of candidates; in Arizona, there were something like 6. But there are typically at least 3. She's been crushing the competition, she typically wins about 2/3 of the votes in the primaries I've tracked; even Roseanne Barr can barely top 15% of the vote when she runs against Stein.

The nomination is pretty much hers to lose at this point.

This call is for donations to her specific campaign, not to the national Green Party. It doesn't take much to make a big difference; if you max out your contribution at $250, you all by yourself just took care of 5% of the money she needs to raise to get to her goal.

Thanks, jest! I was happy to declare myself a Green on March 6. Somehow I had the date wrong before. That is a huge margin!

Well, NJ looks very inactive -- but next week I'll try to figure out what's going on here.

You know, Randi Rhodes, who did a great deal pre-'08 to move the liberal debate along on Air America at the time. began telling us just before it became very likely that Obama was going to get the '08 nomination .... that AFTER we got Obama elected, we should begin to seriously support and move a third party along -- a liberal third party, of course.

Not so long after that, she was gone from Air America. But she was certainly correct in her analysis. This should have been done long ago.

I'd love to see the huge liberal vote given to Obama in '08 swing to the Greens in '12.

It would be the kind of message that might wake up both parties?

Randi said that? Really? Wow, recently she's been sounding like an Obot. A conflicted Obot, but one nonetheless. I had to stop listening to her...

I'd love to see a big swing to a non-corporate party too. I think '12 is just going to be a prelude to '16. All hell is going to break loose if we get 4 more years of this.

I'm just hoping that if we can build enough credibility now, we can stage a bigger fight next time around.

And please do what you can in NJ, that would be great. I already maxed out the limit & my state is over 75% there (MD).
